Hey Chicken Little, The Sky is Falling....

I'm sensing a theme in what I'm reading and in conversations I'm having with friends. It would appear the Sky is Falling and people are Scared. Mostly of what a Barack Obama presidency will bring. I'm not the only one who has noticed, Selwyn Duke over at AmericanThinker wrote a fantastic description of this phenomenon.

In all my life I have never seen an American politician who could make so many Americans' blood run cold.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Duke's article is directed at the President-elect's plan to create a Civic Group as well funded as our Military, a/k/a Obama's Youth and the terror it causes in people who are familiar with history. You know that time in the past, when People were so eager for National pride that they supported the Nazi party, because of Hilter making him Chancellor? Or when Cries of Revolution! Turned into Castro's Cuba? I don't want to be accused of "Godwin's Law" a term I didn't even know existed until today, it's a term coined in the olden days of Internet chat stating that comparing anyone to Hitler diminishes the real thing or the threat of the real thing. It was term that's origins make sense but also prove a strange point. Liberals have been running around for eight years calling George W. Bush, Hitler. Never mind the fact that there has never been a great friend of Freedom or Israel than our Current President. Still they called Bush, Hitler and Nazi. Now we've got a President-elect who smacks of Marxist ideology and talks about an Organized Civil Force. Obama's propaganda site Change.gov has already been altered multiple times adjusting the agenda and scope of the planned "Universal Volunteer Civil Force". This behavior has drawn the word "Orwellian" to more than one person's mind.

Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993. Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service."

Investor's Business Daily Sept. 4th 2008

Orwell's Children live among us now, not in tiny numbers in weird Marxist cults like Jim Jones' People Temple, but as leaders of Congress, as the establishment of academia, as the producers of news and entertainment, as the administrators of public schools

-David Walker, American Thinker "Orwell's Children"

This second quote touches on the next Reason people fear Obama. His unbridled control over information. The OLM is eagerly awaiting their next assignment from The One. What will happen if the Dems get their magic #60 votes and the "Censorship Doctrine" is brought back? What will be the Punishment for a dissenting voice? People are scared that this could happen because Liberals seem content to imagine a world free of opposition to their view. One friend told me about her concern that Liberals actually Fear information. I know where she's coming from, many liberals talk about Fox News as though watching it could result in a retro-active Vote for Bush. I disagree with the way the News is presented on CNN, but at no time do I fear that by watching CNN I will somehow turn into a Godless Liberal. Liberals beliefs are so easily swayed that they can't even hear/read an opposing view point. So much for Open mindedness.....

Then you have the current economic crisis. Who knew that electing Obama would cause the largest slide in the Markets since the crash of 1987? Rhetorical question but give yourself two points if you answered: Anyone who listened to what businesses were saying prior to the election. Remember the owner of the Miami Dolphins saying he was selling his share in anticipation of an Obama Victory to avoid Obama's ridiculous plan to increase capital gains tax, famously saying "I'd rather give it to charity". I'm convinced that some of what we are seeing is healthy companies making cuts prior to becoming unhealthy under the new Obama Tax Code. It's what a good business should do. The Markets are reacting to what we all know, Government involvement hurts the Free Market every time it's tried. They also know the Obama administration plans to get as involved as possible and now they've got a blank check to do so.

This debate about whether or not to bail out the Auto Industry is futile. Once Obama's sworn in he'll be handing out Your money to the Big 3 by the fist-full. He made that clear when he "leaked" his desire to Bail them out. Welcome to Nationalized Auto Sales! Because with the Government money comes that word that Liberals like to use to sound important, "Oversight". Ha! When a Democrat says Oversight, what they mean is regulations and rules that will please my Environmental and Union Donors. Where is a good old fashioned Union Buster when you need them? The UAW is to blame for this mess. But you won't hear that from The One's Administration, ever.

Then of course there is the very real fear of Obama's inexperience on issues of National Security. For all the reasons that I didn't trust him prior to November 4th, I still don't. But the good news is...We've pretty much won in Iraq. This Saturday, an online celebration of Victory in Iraq will be taking place to honor the troops that have made the handing over of Iraq to the Iraqi people possible, since the OLM is ignoring the story. Bad News still have to deal with the Rest of the Region.

The Culture of Life in the Bush Administration will be replaced by an Abortion on Demand philosophy. This is causing many Christians and other pro-life advocates to lose more than a little sleep at night at the thought of all restrictions being removed from current abortion laws as Obama has supported.

So while all of these concerns are Real if the Sky is Falling, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to Run around like Chicken Little or are you going to take Action? Let me tell you this, Fear is a funny thing. It can paralyze you, if you let it. Taking action will have positive effects both psychologically and practically.

Contact Your Representative in Congress Today! Tell them how you feel on whatever issue drives you. Save their contact information and Use it regularly. Keep tabs on Issues and Bills that concern you! Don't just Run around like Chicken Little, Let Your Voice Be Heard!

Mickey, some days I feel like if it were only the sky falling we'd be okay. There is so much to fear and so much to worry about, I don't know what to do first. I guess I'll start with thanking you for your continued support and common goal of spreading the truth and good word.

Right after the election, many of us conservatives WERE lost in a fog of doom and gloom. But conservatives have been energized, so a ray of hope appears to be breaking through.

Hey RightKlik,

How have conservatives been energized? In opposition to an Obama presidency? It's funny how the right wing claims to be the only "true America" yet they are as politically-motivated as anyone else. Do you really feel like trying to stimulate the economy would be a bad thing?

Would establishing an organized civil work force do any more harm than an office of faith-based initiatives?

One comment in this piece suggested that Obama had changed his website. How many times did the Bush administration change their stated reason for invading a sovereign nation?

But then again, maybe Obama is trying to unify us so that we can commit genocide against a group of people.

Obama has given tons of speeches about his abortion-on-demand agenda. It was really the focus of his campaign. That and forced gay sex.

His vision for America is gay marriage and tons of abortions. Maybe drive-thru abortionists, wouldn't that be a miracle?

This blogger is talking about fear, and playing on people's fears. Are you really afraid of "what Obama is going to do" to America? Fearful? Really?

If you are, you've been listening to a different candidate than I and are ultimately consumed with your worldview (which fortunately is withering).

So write your Congresspeople. But fortunately the will of the American people is finally shifting toward making true moral choices rather than fabricated issues of morality.

Actually I'm encouraging my readers to take Action, not to be paralized by the fear of the Unknown.

But it is dismissive to call these fears unjustifiable. Candidate Obama portrayed himself much differently than Sen. Obama.

blogha8ter, stimulating the economy is bogus, they are going to transfer wealth from one group to constituencies that vote democratic. Its a wealth and power grab.

Our economic practices in this country, from the board-room to the water-cooler to the factory floor have been unsustainable for quite some time. I am surprised that we have lasted as long as we have. This week, I discovered that the UAW assembly line worker that uses an air hammer to put lug nuts on the wheels of the cars on the assembly line makes 1.5 times as much as I do (based on his hourly rate). I hold a Ph.D. in Aeronautics from Stanford University and come this April, I'll have 30 years of experience. Mere words no longer seem sufficient to describe what I am now thinking and feeling. If this economic collapse will somehow finally stem the tide of the madness that we call modern day America, then I am ALL FOR IT.
